blazing trails...

some of you know that although my primary job is being a wife and mommy i also have a secondary job that i love so much i would probably do it even if they didn't pay me {but don't tell THEM that!}.  i have this amazing part-time gig as the preschool ministry director for our church.  it's been really cool to see our family and others called into this foreign land of church planting and then watch as God puts all the pieces into place.  my friend michael haun once told me that i had a pioneer spirit.  at the time i thought it was just another one of his off-the-wall comments but now i know what he means...and he's right...i enjoy blazing new trails.  so here we are...a bunch of pioneers hopping in our covered wagons and traveling together on this adventure.  the official launch of new charlotte church is only 3 days away and i keep telling everyone that it feels a little bit like christmas eve to me...the excitement...the anticipation...the feeling that this is an important milestone in my faith walk.

this sunday i have the privilege of opening the gate to 'the backyard' - our preschool area at new charlotte.
my hope is that the kids and parents that walk through will be filled with wonder as they discover {or maybe rediscover} what we are calling 'backyard basics'...
God Made Me
God Loves Me
Jesus Wants to Be My Friend Forever
These are simple truths that we are breaking down for our little ones every week but they are of eternal importance to all of us...
